What to expect at your first visit
It can be a bit daunting stepping into an orthodontic practice for the first time, which is why, at Pymble Orthodontics, we aim to provide a welcoming environment where you feel comfortable.
The first thing you can expect to happen is to be welcomed by our friendly reception team. They’ll ask you to fill in any relevant forms and let our treatment coordinator know you've arrived for your appointment.
Briony, our treatment coordinator will then conduct a comprehensive evaluation of your teeth. During this assessment, she will examine your teeth, jaws and gums, take measurements and discuss the need for orthodontic treatment. Diagnostic records may be taken including digital photographs of your teeth and face and, if required, models of your teeth. Special x-rays of the jaws and teeth may also be needed and can be done in-house for your convenience.
After the assessment has been completed, our specialist orthodontist, Dr Foo will review and provide confirmation of the treatment options we think you would most benefit from. This report will also include:
- Length of treatment time
- When we suggest you start treatment
- What type of braces are appropriate
- Investment required
- Financial arrangements
At your appointment, Briony will be happy to answer any questions you may have. Should you have any further questions about your recommended treatment and quote while you decide whether or not to embark on treatment, please don’t hesitate to contact our team.
Your initial consultation with our treatment coordinator, Briony, is free. However, if you would prefer to see Dr Foo for this appointment, a consultation fee will be charged. Please contact us for more information.
