Invisalign is the virtually invisible way to straighten your teeth and improve your smile without the need for fixed braces. The Invisalign system uses a series of clear, removable aligners to move your teeth over time and give you the smile you've always wanted. At Pymble Orthodontics, we are recognised as Invisalign Diamond Provider.
How does Invisalign work?
Invisalign is an effective orthodontic treatment option which uses clear, plastic aligners to move your teeth into position. Custom designed to your teeth, the aligners look similar to a thin sports mouthguard and gently slot over your top and bottom teeth. You will be issued with a series of aligners that you must change every 2 weeks. Each set of aligners is subtly different to ensure your teeth continue to move into a straighter position.
How long does Invisalign take?
This depends on your orthodontic requirements and every case is different; however, you can expect Invisalign treatment to take anywhere between 12 and 24 months.
Who is Invisalign for?
Invisalign is suitable for both teenagers and adults. Furthermore, our orthodontists are extremely proficient in the use of Invisalign so can treat even the most complex of cases using this treatment option.
Types of Invisalign treatment
Invisalign Express: Some of us may have a set of teeth that we’re happy with – well almost. We would be if it weren’t for that slightly crooked front tooth! Some of you may have straight teeth thanks to orthodontic treatment as teenagers; however, with age you’ve noticed they’re starting to move back into their original position. In both cases, the last thing you probably want is to have to wear braces for a length of time – especially if you’re working. Thankfully you won’t have to with Invisalign Express. Designed for minor tooth alignment, patients can see results in less than 3 months!
Benefits of Invisalign Express:
- Corrects minor tooth alignment in less than 3 months
- Great treatment option for working professionals
- Ideal in the lead up to a big occasion, such as a wedding
Invisalign aligners are a registered medical device, you should always read and follow the label and the instructions of your treating orthodontist.
